Q: What made you choose Physiotherapy as a career?

A: I initially studied Human Biology then decided upon Physiotherapy since I wanted a career that would allow me to apply my knowledge and engage with people to make a difference to their lives.

Q: University year qualified and work experience?

A: I qualified in 2021 and have since worked in a variety of settings within the NHS. I began rotating between different hospital departments before specialising to focus on my interest in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy.

Q: What do you love most about your job?

A: Using problem solving and an individualised approach to help people get back to their sports, hobbies or everyday activities.

Q: What’s your greatest achievement in your career?

A: I’m most proud of gaining experience in a variety of different areas of physiotherapy which has made me a more well-rounded physiotherapist.  This often required perseverance with things that didn’t match my strengths or prior interests. It also helped to solidify my choice of this area of practice.

Q: Clinical special interests?

A: Shoulder Injuries

Tendinopathies

Prehab – Using smart training to build resilience and reduce injury risk.

Q: What’s your favourite patient journey and why?

A: Helping a PE teacher get back to his work and hobbies after a string of unfortunate injuries. It was a slow but steady process and seeing him return to his passions was very rewarding.

Q: Top Pastimes?

A: In my free time I love playing tennis, getting to the gym, and recently I’ve started swimming. Photography and wildlife are also big interests of mine.

A: David Attenborough

Q: Scariest thing you’ve done?

A: Representing the East of England in Gymnastics when I was much younger.

Q: Favourite Film?

A: Madagascar 2

Q: One item to take to a desert island?

A: A luxury tent (is that cheating?).

Q: Favourite food?

A: Sticky toffee pudding and ice cream.

Q: What do you do at the weekends?

A: Tennis, countryside walks and a stop at the pub.

Q: What to expect from me?

A: I aim to provide clear information about your injury or problem and the tools to allow you to achieve your goals. I believe in a person centred / individualised approach and the power of carefully planned exercise programmes.
